CorrPro® Rotary Joints

CorrPro® Rotary Joints
The CorrPro rotary joint from Kadant Johnson was the first to include an externally adjustable syphon clearance that is adjustable from outside the roll.

The patented design allows the operator to adjust the clearance between the internal roll surface and the syphon vertical pipe after the joint and syphon equipment is installed.

The advanced CorrPro system is guaranteed to perform without maintenance from roll grind to roll grind when installed by our service team. With these and other features, the CorrPro joint has become the preferred steam joint of wet end corrugating OEMs worldwide. The CorrPro steam joint is rated up to 450°F (243°C), 300 psig (20 bar), and 600 rpm.

Deaerators are part of a steam system that efficiently manages energy throughout the process. We offer product and system knowledge as well as field service support to optimize plant productivity.

Desuperheaters

Desuperheater
Desuperheaters reduce the temperature of superheated steam to its saturation point for optimal heat transfer and efficiency.
In many manufacturing processes, steam is initially superheated and distributed at high-pressure to prevent the formation of condensate droplets. In the case of turbine applications, droplets can cause significant damage to turbine blades. In downstream applications cooler steam is needed. Desuperheaters inject cooling water to cool the steam to its saturation point for optimum heat transfer in these applications.

ELSX™ Rotary Joints

ELSX Rotary Joint
The ELSX rotary joint is the next generation of extended life, self-supported (ELS) rotary joints for use in steam and thermal oil applications.

It is designed to perform under high-pressure, high-speed, and high-vibration conditions. Its convex seal design delivers up to 20% more combined pressure and velocity (PV) capability and up to 15% more seal ring wear life than an equivalent ELS rotary joint in steam applications. Its increased carbon guide separation and contact surfaces ensure greater horizontal pipe stability and longer life. The ELSX rotary joint enables faster runnability and increased up-time. Sizes are available from 2” to 3 1/2”. The rotary joint is rated up to 500°F (260° C), 300 psig (20 bar), and 300 rpm for steam. It is rated up to 650°F (343°C), 150 psig (20 bar), and 300 rpm for thermal oil.

Features

  • Robust convex seal design
  • Designed for steam and thermal oil
  • Wide carbon support guide separation and wear surface
  • Standard O-ring or preformed packing

Benefits

  • Faster run rates
  • High combined pressure and velocity capability
  • Extended carbon guide and seal ring wear life
  • Application and installation flexibility
  • Easy to maintain, no special tools required
